On Threads, a hand-drawn comic circulated — titled roughly, the guy I met on an app was awful. By content alone, a bad dating-app date. What matters is not rage alone.
Neighborhood udon shop. Queue inside. Toppings in order — tempura bits, scallions. Paying the bill. He talks career design. The narrator watches and slowly feels this person is impossible. Judgment in romance rarely comes from one big event — it comes from small daily gestures: behavior at the shop, tone to staff, angle of talk, how he eats, money sense, how he speaks of the future.
On the app, the other is a profile — photo, age, job, likes, messages. In person, they suddenly have a body: where they go, what they order, how they queue, talk, laugh. Habits invisible in profiles appear. The udon shop becomes almost a lab — not special, ordinary, so human quirks show.
I witnessed an unbelievable scene — dating failure and urban observation at once. Not AI-generated — yet it belongs in the Field. On SNS, private discomfort is shared as hand-drawn comics: someone's bad date becomes laughter, warning, recognition.

Threadsで、手描きの漫画が流れてきた。「アプリで出会った男がクソだった話」というタイトルがついている。内容だけ見れば、マッチングアプリで出会った相手とのひどいデート体験である。けれど、面白いのは、怒りそのものではない。
近所のうどん屋に行く。店内に並ぶ。天かすとねぎの順番でトッピングをする。会計をする。相手は将来のキャリア設計を語る。本人は、その光景を見ながら、少しずつ「この人は無理だ」と感じていく。恋愛の判断は、大きな事件だけで決まるわけではない。うどん屋での振る舞い、店員への態度、会話の角度、食べ方、金銭感覚、未来の語り方——小さな生活動作の集合で決まる。
アプリ上では、相手はプロフィールになる。でも、実際に会うと、相手は急に身体を持つ。どこへ行くのか。何を注文するのか。どう並ぶのか。どう話すのか。その瞬間、プロフィールでは見えなかった生活の癖が出る。うどん屋がほとんど実験場になる。ありふれた場所だからこそ、人間の癖が見えてしまう。
「私は信じられない光景を見てしまったのです……」——恋愛の失敗談であると同時に、都市生活の観察記録でもある。AI生成物ではない。けれど、Fieldには置きたい。個人的な不快感が、手描き漫画として共有される。誰かのクソデートは、誰かの笑いになり、警告になり、「わかる」になる。
