On Threads, a company email mistake circulated. A new manager at his job had sent to the entire company: the lunchbox I made — was the omelet too sweet? sorry mama… Words meant only for home reached the whole office. Quite embarrassing.

What makes the story good is what follows. A senior woman replies at once: sweet omelet is the best, isn't it. A junior adds: I am sweet-side too. Then from the CEO: I am dashimaki-side. The mistaken all-company mail becomes an omelet debate.

The next day the manager arrives sheepishly. On his desk: omelet the CEO made. A note — try the dashimaki I made. The manager takes a bite and mutters: your dashimaki is sweet for dashimaki, ha. Still funny.

They do not blame the mistake. They do not make a spectacle of shame. Yet they do not pretend it never happened. Everyone turns it into omelet talk. The company did not process the misfire — it caught it. Domestic words leaked into the firm; normally that is failure. Here, a small household embarrassment became a small company story.

Threadsで、会社メールの誤爆の話が流れてきた。転職先の上司が、全社メールに送ってしまったという。「俺が作った弁当、卵焼き甘すぎた？ママ、ごめんね…」本来なら、家庭内にだけ届くはずだった言葉。それが会社全体に流れてしまう。かなり恥ずかしい。

ただ、この話がいいのは、その後だ。お局がすぐに返信する。「甘い卵焼き、最高じゃないですか」若手も続く。「自分も甘い派です」しばらくして、社長からも届く。「私は出汁巻き派です」全社メールの誤爆は、いつのまにか卵焼き論争になる。

翌日、上司は恥ずかしそうに出社してくる。すると机の上には、社長が作った卵焼きが置いてある。メモには、こうある。「僕が作った出汁巻き、食べてみてよ」上司が一口食べて、ぼそっと言う。「社長のだし巻き、だし巻きなのに甘いな笑」これがまだ面白い。

ミスを責めない。恥を晒しものにしない。でも、なかったことにもしていない。みんなで卵焼きの話にしてしまう。つまり、この会社は誤爆を処理したのではなく、受け止めた。家庭の言葉が会社に漏れた。普通なら、それは失敗になる。でもここでは、家庭の小さな恥ずかしさが、会社の小さな物語になった。
