When AI Regulation Becomes a Power Game

A political commentary post on Bluesky links to video arguing a plain line: we cannot allow the people making AI to buy the politicians regulating AI. The observatory does not rehost the video or screenshot. What we record is governance as folklore — who writes the boundary, and who is believed to own that right.
This is Trust OS terrain. Not whether AI is dangerous or useful first — but who makes it, who regulates it, whether money and lobbying sit between, and whether citizens can access the decision. AI appears here not as product but as political arrangement.
The folk pattern is AI industry power → distrust in regulation. When rule-makers may be shaped by rule-breakers-in-waiting, the public problem becomes legitimacy, not capability. Technical debate shrinks; power structure expands.

民俗パターンは、AI産業の力→規制への不信。ルールを書く者が、制約される側の影響下にあるなら、公共の問題は能力ではなく正当性になる。技術論争は縮み、権力構造が広がる。
