ITmedia NEWS reports on AI-enabled brain-computer interfaces in China: NeuroXess trials where a paralyzed patient moved a PC cursor and toggled home appliances by thought; another trial generated words and phrases from brain activity. This is hope and boundary at once. Brain signal becomes external action. AI-assisted decoding may restore agency for bodies that cannot move or speak. But whose will is being translated? When AI supplements a phrase, is it still the person's word? Who stops a misread signal? Who owns neural data when commerce arrives?
